Reporting Identity Theft

Following is a comprehensive list on what you need to do:

- Issuer: Contact the issuer in question
- Credit Bureau: Alert the fraud departments of each of the major credit bureaus. Request a copy of your credit report and ask that your credit file is marked with a "fraud alert." This "fraud alert" will raise the level of scrutiny lenders take when issuing credit in your name.
